The Maltese Law, in enumerating thw cases in which the jury may be discharged by the Court, does noticlude the case when the jury are unable to reach a legal verdict. Still, ns uch a case the Court may discharge the jury, if it thinks proper so to do. The Court's discretion in deciding for teh discharge of the jury is independent of any objection ont eh aprt of either teh Prosecution teh Defence.
